LIFE STAMP | Lineage Edition

It is the holidays, and you know what that means: family, friendship, gratitude, and reflection. We all celebrate in our own way. For me, writing is how I process it all.

This year, I have had to face the reality that I am truly an adult now. I still feel like I am growing up, and I am, but I have also lived. With that comes the responsibility of accepting the ebbs and flows of life. God has created it all: hardships and victories alike. And with both, He has given us grace. I am honored to be His.

This holiday season, I send love and cheer to those who are learning to accept that adulthood is real this year too, and that new seasons bring both challenge and opportunity. Life may be hard, but it is still sweet.

LivingwithLoren.blog was born in a time when nothing made sense, and I could not verbally articulate my feelings. Today, I feel empowered to align my gift of writing with my calling. And so… Life Stamps were born.

Life Stamps are little affirmations, mantras, and reminders created by me to share with you. My prayer is that they speak to your spirit, call you to action, make you feel bold, and bring you joy. They are here to comfort, encourage, and remind you of your strength, even when you cry.

My very first Life Stamp stems from a poem I wrote:

I am lace and red clay.
Lip gloss and grit.
Soft hands that learned how to clench into fists
and open again without losing tenderness.

I come from women who prayed loud
and worked quiet.
Who cried in private
and stood tall in public.

I have lost battles that almost took my name.
I have buried versions of myself
that did not survive the storm.
And still, I rose refined, not ruined.

I chose healing over repeating.
Truth over tradition.
Growth over guilt.

It stops with me.
And it blooms with her.

She will inherit my wisdom, not my wounds.
My softness, not my survival mode.

She will know rest.
She will know joy.
She will know love without learning pain first.

Because I did the fighting.
I did the breaking.
I did the work.

And now …
she gets to bloom.

Until Next Time,

Keep Living!

Love, Loren
