Have you ever loved someone who checked every box— the ones on your list, and even the ones you didn’t know to write down?
I once loved a man who checked every box that mattered to me, or so I thought.
Character.
Stability.
Kindness.
God.
Family values.
The same ideas on raising babies and building legacy.
But still—we were not aligned.
Our paths ran parallel, not perpendicular.
What do you do when this happens?
Do you force it and risk chaos? Do you change your route just to meet someone who may not be meant for now or ever?
When two trains run parallel and try to intersect— one must abandon its intended path. That’s just simple math.
That detour. Is it worth it? Will it cause derailment?
Wisdom and experience will tell you:
“If two trains insist on meeting where the tracks were not built to bend, one must derail.”
And more often than not,
It’s the innocent bystanders who feel the wreckage.
I learned, after a devastating heartbreak, that the right person at the wrong time is still the wrong person.
Forced love is a dangerous game.
It asks for your peace, your patience, and your purpose.
Love hard.
Love beautifully.
But love with wisdom and grace.
Let your love not be a detour, but a destination. Real love never asks you to abandon your path, your call, or your God.
Don’t let longing rob you of the lessons in the waiting room.
Don’t compromise alignment for companionship. Don’t choose closeness over calling. Don’t hold hands with someone who can’t walk with you in purpose.
Becoming is not just about strength—
it’s about surrender.
Waiting with wisdom is still movement. Trust the God who writes love stories
better than we ever could.
Smile, glow, grow— prepare to align.
Until Next Time,
Keep Becoming!
Love, Loren
